Day 64 on the Road: Full Circle

We have come full circle. After 5,607 miles and 64 days on the road we have made it back to Charlotte. The return was bitter sweet. More than anything we are not ready to be off the road, but we know it is temporary as we prepare for the next leg of our journey. On the other hand it was nice to return to the familiar. The streets I recognize, the stores I know how to get to, and the house I have laid my head in for the past few years.

The kids adjusted back very well. They too were at peace with coming back although we are all admittedly anxious to get back on the road. They will spend the next couple of weeks with the dad and I will take that time to grind hard on these many projects I am undertaking.

So you may not here from us for a couple of weeks, at least not until our trip to the White House at the end of the month. We are going to take this time to rest, catch up with family, and work hard to be ready to leave again.

Thank you to everyone that followed us on this this portion of our journey. We couldn’t have done it without your encouragement, support, and push to keep going. We hope you will continue to follow us on the next leg of this trip as we prepare for the international travel portion. First stop Iceland in April!

So until we see you on the road or somewhere around the globe… peace, love, and keep traveling.
